Having earned her BA in English from William Carey University, she is currently teaching in Cecil County, MD while earning her MFA from Southern New Hampshire University.
J’s focus is writing a fantasy series with a strong heroine cast. The world of diverse races and strong conflict. The characters grow through their trials and you as the reader will grow with them. J’s next series will be a YA fiction series about the trials of foster care and the healing power of love.
When J isn’t teaching, writing, or snuggling with her chonky cat Gabi, she enjoys walking trails, shopping at local small businesses, and spending time with family. J gets her inspiration for writing from authors like Tamora Pierce, Donita K. Paul, Maria V. Snyder, and Sarah J. Maas.
